Final Exam Empty
PostSubject: Final Exam   Final Exam EmptyWed May 28, 2014 2:34 pm

Attached below is a "Things to Know" study guide.

The final takes place on the following dates:

- Friday, May 30th for seniors.
- Wednesday, June 3rd for 2nd period
- Thursday, June 4th for 6th period

The test will have:

- 60 multiple choice questions (with scantron)
- 5 free-response questions

A cheat sheet is allowed for the exam. Here are the parameters:

- You may use one 8.5”x11” sheet of paper.
- You may use both sides of the paper.
- Write ANYTHING you want on it, as long as it’s handwritten and in your writing.
- No typing, no scanning, no cutting out from other sheets (including ones which you've written on, like other work).
- You will turn in your cheat sheet with your final and your name on it.

For said cheat sheet, I recommend that:

- You write in a certain order (Units 6-10)
- You highlight formulas
- You give example problems
- You get them from your study guides/videos, etc.

So if most of the stuff on the study guide you might already know and still remember, would you recommend still putting it on the cheat sheet? and also what would be the best things to study? because I'm getting really nervous and the last thing i want happening is studying the wrong things or putting non-important things on the study guide. Thanks,

Well I mean, we've had a lot of study guides haha. I'd honestly say the unit review packets were better serving than the homework packet, but I couldn't fully say one or the other is better.

Know trig, coordinate geometry, surface area/volume, ratios, triangle proofs, areas of polygons, and CIRCLE STUFF. There are other small things as well, but I would avoid looking at things like areas of quadrilaterals, triangle midsegment theorem, net drawings, angle relationships w/ parallel lines, and conditional statements/converses.

I really shouldn't say all of that because it still should all be studied, but this test is more overloaded as far as number of problems rather than amount of knowledge that could have been required. That said, manage your time wisely on the exam. It's kind of long, though I'm really only supposed to give you 1hr 45min on it. The final took me about 35-40 minutes to complete; normally I like to double that time and say that's where students are, but some took longer than that. I think others got a little frustrated by the length and slowed down, or kind of drained themselves by the time they had the free-response portion. Make sure that you power through the whole thing.

Best of luck!

P.S.  BRING YOUR BOOK!!
