Glasses MARS Task (front)
Glasses MARS Task (back)

This was a classwork assignment with an emphasis on finding the volumes of different types of glasses. The video below is an introduction to how to begin looking at the problems.

The problem on the back is rather difficult, but think of it like how we came up with the height of a pool when it's half full (that original MARS Task that we took). Here's a helpful hint/question for that one: When Glass #2 is half-full, will the bottom be completely filled, or not?

See the second video (below) for a solution to the back page.

EDIT:

Answer Key (front)
Answer Key (back)

As per student request, here is a video solution to problem #3 on the back. It's a 22-minute long video because the explanation is long-winded. If you want to just see the solution though, it's up above. I think you'll fully get this kind of problem if you watch this video though.  pig

Original post is updated with an answer key and 22 minute long solution guide for problem #3. I go into great detail of the problem, twice. Hopefully there won't be any questions with this problem after you watch the video. A student requested a video solution to that video because it popped up as one of your MARS Tasks before, and on other exams as well. It really is a nice kind of problem for Geometry.
